WOMEN IN CINEMA – TIFF2020
Unique and prestigious partnership with Toronto International Film Festival and ARRA Arts with the support of Consulate General of India in Toronto on “Women in Cinema”. Internationally renowned women film directors from India, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari (Bareilly Ki Barfi), Leena Yadav (Teen Patti) Tannishtha Chatterjee (Roam Rome Mein) are moderated by UK based journalist Naman Ramachandran. The concept was initiated by Anu Srivastava, Founder, ARRA Arts and Apoorva Srivastava, Consul General of India, Toronto; produced by Sanjay Bhutiani, Red Carpet Moving Pictures and powered by Harminder Binapal, Trans Emerge Group of Companies.

GARDISH MEIN TAARE
Living Arts Centre (LAC) showcases the theatrical play “Gardish Mein Taare” as part of LAC Programming Season 2018-2019. The theatrical play premiered in Canada and is a tribute to the creatively volatile era of Indian Cinema of the 1950s. The musical play performance is inspired by the turbulent times and relationship shared by the two mavericks – Guru Dutt and his wife Geeta Dutt portrayed by the renowned actors Arif Zakaria and Sonali Kulkarni.

Living Arts Centre (LAC) showcases the theatrical play “Broken Images” as part of 20th Anniversary of LAC. Broken Images depicts the twenty-first century as an era of electronic images. From every corner of our daily life, images throw themselves at us, arguing, accusing and wheedling until the very essence of our private existence seems threatened. But suppose the deadliest of these images were one’s own shattered self? In one of the most challenging roles of her career, World Renowned Indian Actress, Shabana Azmi plays two sisters and their many images, as they morph into one another.
